Other
Language Ability English (Native Speaker)
Japanese (Lower Advanced speaking & reading)
Italian (Lower Advanced)
French (Lower Intermediate)
Thai (Upper Beginner)
Skills Highly computer literate.
Able to work on a variety of page authoring, DTP, word processing and graphics applications on both Macintosh and Windows.
Highly developed social and interpersonal skills (although, of course, everybody feels that they have this).
Interests Outdoors Any chance to get outdoors with friends is a great day. When back in Canada, I like to hike in the mountains, and when possible go water-skiing with friends.
Staying healthy Although I should go more often, I try to make it to the gym, rollerblade, cycle, or walk when I can. I also enjoy skiing and water skiing, although it's pretty rare that I have the time or opportunity to do so.
Writing Most of what I do is TESOL related: Textbooks, research papers, etc. However, I dream of taking some of my more interesting experiences, and some of the more interesting people I've met, and shaping them into a novel.
Music Everything from Rock to Jazz to Reggae and in-between. Most recently, I've gotten into salsa music and dance. I just started up again in Chiba.
Travel Although I doubt I'll ever travel like I used to -- hitchhiking around Europe or travelling on a shoestring in North Africa, I still hope to get back on the road someday and see what's still out there. Big on my list are SE Asia and South and Central America.
